I am in my second year at Bryn Mawr College and I love being here!
I grew up in the Washington, D.C. area. After earning an undergraduate degree in Economics at Wellesley
College, I worked for a small transportation consulting firm in the Boston area, where I learned to analyze
data and write programs using the APL programming language. I
moved from that to the
Silicon Valley in Northern California, where I lived for many years, working for the Hewlett-Packard
Company (HP) as well as Silicon Graphics International (SGI). During that time, I
earned my graduate degree in
Computer Science from Stanford University, with a concentration in Systems. Later, while
raising my children, I taught AP Computer Science A/AB and other computer science courses
at the high school level. I have two children, both now in
college, and a cat named Optimus Purr-ime.
