Generally, you should use a lightly loaded machine. Some suggestions for recognizing these:
  1. The columns 'use 1min', 'use 5min' and 'use 10min' give the average load over 1, 5 and 15 minutes respectively. Smaller numbers indicates less usage. Usage runs from 0 to the number of cores on the machine.
  2. The column 'users' gives the number of users logged in on a machine. Fewer is better
  3. The column 'avail mem' gives the amount of memory not in current use (in Mb). More is better
