Welcome to the NCWIT Aspirations Award site for the Philadelphia Region!
This year we celebrate 16 winners, 8 runner-ups, 1 national winner, 1 national runner-up, and a regional educator award winner, Laura Blankenship, from The Baldwin School.
The National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) Award for Aspirations in Computing honors young women at the high-school level for their computing-related achievements and interests. Award recipients are selected based on their aptitude and aspirations in technology and computing; leadership ability; academic history; and plans for post-secondary education. The award offers both a national and local affiliate competitions to generate support and visibility for young women’s participation in computing around the country.

The NCWIT AiC Philadelphia Area Affiliate Award Ceremony will take place on April 8, 2015 at Wyndham House, 101 North Merion Ave, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010 (Directions). Business causual to formal dress is preferred for the banquet.

We are very honored to have Anita Garimella Andrews, VP Client Analytics Services at RJMetrics to give our keynote address at the banquet.
Anita Garimella Andrews is VP, Customer Success at RJMetrics. RJMetrics is a leading SaaS cloud-based analytics platform whose customers are primarily mid-sized ecommerce and SaaS businesses.
Anita’s expertise includes data & analytics, B-to-B and B-to-C platforms, e-commerce, social gaming and viral metrics optimization, product management, online marketing, and social networks. She was Founder & CEO of Sepiida, an analytics and Internet marketing optimization company, whose clients included Zynga Games Network, Haymarket Media, and Coveroo. Sepiida was acquired by Delphic Digital in 2012. Prior to Sepiida, she ran Ecommerce at Nutrisystem, a $750 million subscription ecommerce business, and has held a variety of product and marketing roles at successful start-ups in Silicon Valley.
Anita holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Stanford University with a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction. She earned her B.A. from New York University majoring in Politics with a minor in Mathematics. She is a founding Trustee of TechGirlz whose mission is to grow the role of women in technology by focusing on middle school-aged girls.
Anita won the Rising Star Award as a 2011 Woman of Distinction from the Philadelphia Business Journal. In addition, Sepiida was named one of the Top 50 Minority-Owned Businesses in Philadelphia in 2011.
