Paper Topic #2

This paper is only for students enrolled in AI under the course PHIL 372.  Students enrolled in AI under CMSC 372 must complete the second pac-man project.

Read http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/game-theory/ through Section 2.5.

Pick what you consider to be the strongest game-theoretic perspective on rational behavior, and summarize its main arguments.  Describe its implications to the behavior of intelligent agents in one or two scenarios of your choosing.  In your discussion, be sure to briefly address an alternative perspective on rationality and how it compares to your chosen perspective.  You are welcome to consult outside sources while completing this paper.


Formatting and Submission Instructions

  1. Your response should be clear, concise, and well-constructed.
  2. The paper must be typeset single-spaced with 12 point font and 1 inch margins, with a total length of 3-4 pages.  Include page numbers and references as needed.
  3. While the writing of the paper must be entirely your own work, I encourage you to discuss the ideas of your paper with myself and your fellow students.  Should you need assistance with writing, I encourage you to visit the college writing center.
  4. Submit your paper as an electronic document in either MS Word or PDF (preferred) to your shared CS372YourName/Project2 folder on dropbox by the due date.
